Leo Wells on Sports

Don’t look now, but the Atlanta scene is slowly creeping into the national chatrooms and sports blogs as one to be not only reckoned with but one to be feared.  Opponents now know that when they suit up and step into an Atlanta sports arena they will most likely leave a loser.  With home records of 34-7 (Hawks), 7-1 (Falcons), 56-25 (Braves, best in the majors) and 19-16-6 (Thrashers), the Atlanta franchises have given the homers, of which I am one, something to toot our Vuvuzela’s about. Hey folks!  Thought I’d try my hand at blogging sports.  Next to God, Jesus, Family & work I’d say that sports is the next dancing partner in line (with music cutting in here and there).  Something about sports that really salves over generations, cultures, race & gender to bring everyone into a parallel, common union of sorts!  (more…)
