When Lane Kiffen – the mouth not from the South – decided to hightail it over to LA to head “home” there were, within the next 48 hours, some videos placed on YouTube by the Vol-Nation that would make anyone’s mother blush. Enter Derek Dooley. He has the pedigree. He has the verbal accumen – he was/is a lawyer. But the question that remains unanswered is does he have the experience to succeed in the SEC. (more…)

The big news of today was that Kentucky received a commit from a 5-star stud out of Portland, Oregon. Of course this kid is 6’9″, plays with a round ball and on a wood court. UK has always been basketball first U but new HC Joker Phillips plans to even out that focus a bit with some head-turning hit you in the mouth football. (more…)

The first installment for the SEC team break downs will be the in-state team, the Georgia Bulldogs. Not sure anyone really knows how to project out what this years Dawgs team might do. Many of the “experts” have them rated anywhere from #3 in the country to #67 in the country (although I think the latter to be an Orlando reporter prank). (more…)

All right folks!! We are a mere 2 weeks away from the kick-off classic in Atlanta and that gives me just enough time to break down each SEC team for this new 2010 season. I must admit. I really start looking forward to Sept around … well to be honest … January!! I really get a thrill from some good roundball, and baseball sees the time go by but southern pigskin … it’s special!!
